If your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old. If it is completely flexible at 60, you are young – Joseph Pilates

Improve posture and body alignment; improve flexibility and balance; reduce stress and tension; prevent injury… and enjoy yourself!

Pilates with Claire classes work in harmony with the way your body was designed, leaving you revitalised and feeling great. With an emphasis on breathing, core conditioning, flexibility and body awareness they are an effective way to stretch and strengthen your body. My classes are the perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise, sport, rehab or just life itself.

Classes have no more than eight people so I can give you one-to-one attention and make sure you’re getting the most out of the exercises. Find out more about my classes here.

Performed on a mat, exercises are low impact and involve controlled movements focused on precision rather than speed. Pilates works on the body as a whole but has a main focus of a strong “core” which strengthens your deep abdominal muscles and the muscles closest to the spine.

Is it right for me?

Absolutely! Pilates is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness so whether you’re new to Pilates or a seasoned veteran, a beginner or an athlete, there is a class to suit. Routines are adapted to make them more or less challenging and to suit your individual needs and goals. There’s no one who can’t be taught Pilates and reap the rewards.

In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference, in 20 you’ll see the difference and in 30 you’ll have a new body Joseph Pilates
